Chipotle - Useless promotions that never work. I don't have great expectations for this. Looks like they'll be asking folks to surrender all sorts of private info to ID.me

Noticed that other freebies require that. What is the "cost"?

To receive your burrito you must allow ID.me to share your first name, email, zip and group association with Chipotle.

How much more info idme require?

They wouldn't have to require id.me if they didn't know that people would post the "deal" all over the net, and millions would fraudulently take advantage of it.

ID isn't the problem. It only has limited quantity and the promote the same promotion last time. Not all healthcare workers have the time to wait on the dot to get a free burrito. Some of us have patients to attend to. I think their promotions should had been free for all healthcare workers who show their ID or maybe a 50% off coupon

There were a lot of people that were deemed "Essential Workers" throughout the past year, yet this offer only applies to healthcare workers. It's not right.

Note: I was not an essential worker, but they also deserve credit.
They are free to give food away to whoever they choose, its not about right or wrong. Any time companies want to give things away there is always a crowd that tries to weasel their way into trying to take advantage of a promotion. Are you going to complain if they have promotions for teacher appreciation or Veterans Day?

All I am saying is that there are a lot of deserving people due to this pandemic. And yes, store can do whatever they want. But society feels that publicly thanking a healthcare worker is what is most important. There were many people that work in grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, travel that had to go to their jobs every day and put themselves in harm's way but go unnoticed and unrecognized. No one would ever run a "Thank a grocery store associate" promotion, yet people would be pissed if the grocery industry just shut down and no longer provided food.

I am not in any of these areas of work.
Healthcare workers had the highest exposure and death rate compared to any other essential workers, specifically because they were still 100% required to do their jobs and have direct and willing contact with people KNOWN to have COVID.

That's the difference.

Working in retail and similar industries, while challenging and worthy of similar promotions, do not carry the same personal endangerment and psychological burden of working with critically ill patients day in and day out. Experiencing the daily death of patients due to COVID and other diseases takes a toll on an individual. It is nice to have the recognition during such a difficult time of employment.

Do you have to work directly with patients or is working for the hospital enough?

My mom is a nurse. However, she has been lucky enough that she works from home (she does admin work, but is definitely a full on RN and has credentials, etc.). However, she will NOT be taking advantage of this offer, in order to hopefully save some availability for the true heroes. The ones on the front lines.

What's worse is that id.me will likely only recognize doctors and nurses as healthcare workers- not even the poor respiratory therapists...
