Be aware that there are two fairly different products under the same listing and reviews are shared between the two. There is a copper one that appears to be much better as it is decently deeper and comes with a cover.

That isn't mutually exclusive with a good deal. This thing for $80 and a copper one for $97 is an incredibly good deal. At least depending on how long they last but I wish I'd had this deal a year ago

You can go on eBay an order a perfect cover from China $11

How do you know these are any good? You can't check the build quality and since they're Chinese manufactured it's not likely to be much better than the $45 fire pits at Walmart.

You can also just pickup a free washer on Craigslist, take out the drum and use that as a fire pit. That's what I use. All that is need to be "above ground" is to use some large bricks as stand.

Probably not worth the hassle of finding a washer, carrying it home, removing the drum out, and try to figure out how to get rid of that washer.

Paper bag? Hat? Ski Mask? Idk man! Use your imagination!

In all seriousness though, you can build your own out of $2-5 dollar wall blocks from Home Depot.

https://www.homedepot.com/b/Outdo...5yc1vZbx7a

Figure out what diameter and height you want your pit to be and figure out how many blocks you need. Clear the area 3ft beyond the circumference of your pit of any flammable and look into your county/city for how far your pit has to be from any structures. If you want to be fancy pour some crushed rock/gravel at the bottom of the pit.

I did this in college and it was one of the most memorable DIY projects of mine. I drove a '92 Toyota Tercel and could only buy 12 blocks at a time in my trunk or the suspension would bottom out and my muffler would drag XD. I bought about 60 blocks after stopping at Home Depot after my internship on the way home every day for a week.

Fun times.
