As for the product design:
Pros - the size of the dumbbell changes with weight (bowflex does not so 5lbs is just as long as 55lbs)
Cons - there's bars around the handle that hold the base together and it's restricting in movement
This limits mobility a bit which might be better for your form(?) but it's a hassle when you're dumbbell pressing and you can't easily put the weights down.

Correction above. Actually this is a trainer set, it can only go up to 50 ib.

The blocks work great. Only caveat is, you have to pull the plastic out and insert it correctly to change weight. This can be annoying and not as convenient as the bowflex where you can dial the change, and you have to make sure both sides of the plastic go in at the right level.
I eventually bought and Elite model so I can go up to 90 lbs. So that's something to consider about this model. Not expandable but for this price point it's a steal.
I've tried the Bowflex adjustable dumbbells and I like these better. Changing the weight only takes 1 motion because the insert controls both sides. Whereas with Bowflex, you'll need to change the dial on both sides.

With this deal, I don't have to pay for shipping and will get it btw May 6th to 9th, but it's limited to 50 lbs.
