Permatex is a known and reliable product. At this price, why mess around with anything else?
A lot of adhesives that aren't labeled "threadlocker" will do the same thing.

I'm not suggesting this product is bad. If you think it's what you need, then I'm not trying to stop you from getting it. Just saying there are some other great options out there.

Vibra-TITE was the best. Permatex was about average, but so was everybody else.

Coming from personal experience, I can tell you I will use Loctite on just about anything metal and it's going to hold. Again, if you choose to use this, there's nothing wrong with it. You just may save a buck here and there not jumping on a product that says "threadlocker."
Depending on the bolt placement, there are also times I want a thread to stay permanently sealed and I just grab something that will seal it up nicely. This goes beyond metal. You can turn a lot of garbage products into good ones by doing what the manufacturer didn't do.
Have a good one.

As far as the red threadlocker goes i have the gel, so that one doesn "run out" from the tube as easy where this one "runs out" like water basically.
I was also considering Interstate Pneumatics TRB750K 2 in 1 Thread Locker Kit Includes High/Medium Strength 50ml. It is a red and blue kit with 50ml each. The kit is $16 but each bottle has 50ml instead of 6ml which means they should last til youre about 60 years old. Although long term storage/strength of threadlockers is another topic that im not going to get on about.
