FYI, only Arlo Pro 2 and older cameras have the free 7 day cloud storage.

All of these newer models will require a paid subscription if you want to retrieve event videos from the cloud.

Same here.. I also inserted 128GB flash drive but for some reason, it does save motions to the drive instead it goes to cloud and get deleted every 7 days.
How do we store files to local drive?

Grabbed the Arlo Pro 3, don't need more then 2 cameras right now. Can you use the power adapter and leave the battery inserted? It would be great if this worked in case of a power failure.

Sure can. Similar to the Floodlight, the cable will keep the battery charged to kick in during power loss. However, there are features that are only available when connected to power like the extra 1k lumens.

If there was a power fail there wouldn't the internet be down? With out internet would you still be able to record anything ?

Everything is authorized through Internet or the base station so local wap won't work
