This is ridiculously expensive compared to other professional IPS 27" monitors. What is Dell thinking? I understand they added all of the bells and whistles, such as USB type-c upstream and downstream, but that shouldn't come at a $200++ premium!

I've had the opportunity to buy around 20+ Ultrasharp screens over the years, along with varying other brands. Dell's Ultrasharp line has consistently better panels and processing, better stands, better out of the box color calibration, and nowadays you get features like the integrated KVM.

If these things don't matter to you then fine. Maybe you use separate monitor arms, always calibrate separately, have no need for USB hub or KVM, whatever. But I no longer buy anything but Ultrasharps at my company or at home. If you don't like the pricing on this one, the previous model (21) is available for $480 and the even older 19 is available for $350. They are all -excellent- screens.
