May I ask if quartz movements are irreparable when damaged by a leaking battery?
...... I've got several AKA Alba watches (made by Seiko, that I understand), and I used (stupidly) very cheap batteries
They lasted a half year, I didn't think they'd ruin my watches ... but they did .... putting in fresh batteries isn't getting the arms to move.
We're talking 6 watches.
Am I $crewed, or could a watch shop get them going?

Most likely yes, it's done. Most seiko quartz movements are inexpensive enough that it's more economical to replace than repair. I swap them all the time.

I didn't say they're not good. It's the fact that Invicta has ridiculous inflated MSRP's. Ronda makes decent movements. They're in everything from Fossil to Victorinox. Heck, I've even seen them in some Tag Heuers. Quartz Formula 1's for one.
Yeah the price isn't terrible. Just don't let the $1000+ MSRP make you think you're getting a $1000 watch for 80% off.
