It's awesome on switch you can speed up time 3X which helps a ton with grinding.
Oh, to buy FF7 yet again, on yet another platform....
I played them both. They're okay. Story is average. Battle system is reminiscent of Chrono Trigger, but the games themselves are not anywhere near Chrono Trigger level of good. They all got to a point where it dragged for me and I kind of forced myself to finish. If you're itching for a JRPG they're not bad but I wouldn't go out of my way. Prices don't seem to get much better than this though, definitely wouldn't pay full price.

Has anyone ever played Lost Sphear or I am Setsuna? I was interested at first because of the pedigree (I think some Chrono people made them?) but the reviews were mediocre at best and the price stayed high.

These games always piqued my interest too but I've always stayed away for the same reasons.
Sales HAVE to be super low at this point and it's frustrating they never dip below the $20 mark. I'd spend $10 to try it out now but given the reviews and derivative nature of them I refuse to spend more.
Anyone old enough to remember FF7 skipping the N64 and going to PS1? Which, along with RE and RE2, were some of the biggest reasons for PlayStation being in the position it is today.

I haven't played FF7 since the original PS1. Between PC, android or switch, recommend which one to pick it up on or avoid?
I watched this video a while back so I don't remember the differences but, I think this would help you more

I would recommend any game including this one on switch over any platform as long as it is not graphics intensive. It is so nice to lay down and play.

I would recommend playing the first ff7 before the remake if you want to understand the plot.
And now, FF7 is on a Nintendo console.
