It’s more work but It will certainly be less prone to line breakage if you need that. I had to do this with a run near where by dogs have a run out. They would try and dig up the wires and munch on them. Also pvc makes the line inside impervious to trimmer wire cutting the cables that may pop out of the ground over time.
We redesigned our front and backyard and a few contractors recommended Volt lighting. Volt has great customer service. I bought directly through them during a Black Friday sale. Quality is really good, solid metal.
How are these compared to some of the better quality ones you can get from HD or Amazon?
I can't tell you anything about this or stuff on Amazon, but I can tell you about Hampton Bay from HD. I bought a $150 4pc starter kit there last week and two of the wire snap-in connectors broke instantly while unpacking them. Returned it and got another and the transformer isn't putting out any power, and one of the light clips again broke.
I purchased this kit along with a 4-light expansion kit and just installed it last weekend. The quality of the lights is great and the lighting looks incredible. Buy it while it's still on sale - you won't be disappointed!
