I thought Apple now credits back your trade in towards original purchase instead giving you a GC. The terms say "Trade-in value may be applied towards new purchase, and new purchase may be required to receive additional trade-in values."

I'm pretty sure when I still had my XR and wanted to see how much they would give me for it towards the 12, at the checkout screen it said that my payment method would be refunded the trade in amount, but you can confirm that on their website.

So what I was thinking about doing, is perhaps just trading in my ipad and macbook pro(I have the 2017 model) when the new macbook pro 14 inch comes out..since I think it will be cheaper to just buy the ipad from costco with the 100 bucks off..costco accepts trade ins too but they are offering 400 bucks for it and its ONLY by mailing it in, I dont trust that just like I dont trust mailing it into apple because they will find something, anything to give me less money even though the item is perfect so I prefer doing it in store..Boy I miss the days of just selling things on craigslist and meeting folks in person to get cash for an ipad, mac, etc..I checked craigslist I dont even see the ipad I have even offered by anyone..Id sell it maybe on amazon problem is I dont see mine there too just "Renewed" versions of it

Thanks for notification of this deal. I got the 2021 iPad Pro 11 with 100 off for like 650. That's a great deal and I also bought the 12.9 direct from Apple this morning just to see if mini led makes a huge difference, but I like holding iPad and 12.9 is probably too damn big. With the 100 off I'll almost certainly keep the 11 unless the mini led display blows my mind

I ordered the 11" from Costco with my $50 off $500, but after re-reading the 12.9" differences I decided I wanted that instead. I reached out to Costco Chat because if I just canceled I am pretty sure the $50 wouldn't work to reorder. The chat agent canceled the order and gave me a $100 off coupon instead, so the 12.9" was even easier to jump to. Thanks for this deal!

I wonder if anyone has ever tried to use the extended warranty? I read the warranty conditions and it seems like they make you jump through alot of hoops if something breaks. It says you have to send it in for a repair, then also get a copy of the repair. Has anyone does this and been successful? How long did the process take? Sounds like a headache.
