Thanks! Just got one. That's a crazy good price. Everyone else (including Adorama's regular item page for this sub:https://www.adorama.com/kpspl100.html ) is running $400-430 for this.
Which model is it? I thought Jamo is more closer to Reference/R-12SW? Please educate me if I am wrong.
J 110.
Same frequency range and amp power rating as the Klipsch.
I suspect the Jamo J110/112 use the same drivers/amps as the Klipsch R110/112 and SPL 110/112. Reasons being they look identical (same features and wireless port) and I had the same humming issue with the Jamo's that a lot of Klipsch owners have complained about. The solution was to reverse the wiring in the polarized AC wall plug. My dad was an electrician and we had already checked my wall AC outlets were wired correctly, proper grounding, etc.
I would've never considered a 10" subwoofer in my open concept living room, but two of these Jamo's sound deep and loud 👍🏼. I use Audyssey xt32 and with the amp gains on the Jamo's at about 1/4, Audyssey sets my sub level at around -5db.
I had no experience with them before but I couldn't resist the $150/each clearance price. They were white. I covered them in a dark gray vinyl "wrap". I've gone through a LOT of sub's over the years. One of my first was a $1200 Velodyne servo 12" sub in the mid-90's. I've been living with these Jamo's for about 5 years. I toy with the idea of upgrading occasionally , but i just can't justify the minor upgrade in sound I'd probably get for at least an $800-$1000 cost (a pair of RSL Speedwoofer 10S's or SVS SB1000 pro's).
Listening to the first few minutes of Bladerunner 2049 at reference level will scare you if you have capable subs are aren't expecting the crushing bass!!

Speaking of Speedwoofer, they have pretty much been OOS for the whole last year, how can they stay in business with that kind of availability?

Just guessing here, but they've been around a loooooong time. I imagine they figured out how many units of whatever they manufacture will sell in X amount of time, therefore they only make X number of units so as not to have too much inventory. The effects of Covid ...people staying at home (improving their home entertainment systems) AND factories/shipping drastically reducing capacity ...surely played a big role in RSL not being able to keep up with demand. Oddly enough, glowing reviews from thewirecutter and several high profile youtube reviewers probably contributed to the current OOS condition of the subwoofers as well. On their webpage, they say they do have enough stock for people that buy compete systems.
Looking at the "numbers", the $399 Speedwoofer does appear to outperform the $100 more expensive SVS SB1000 pro. Whether it will sound "better" would be up to the listener. The svs has the benefit of the built in EQ for those people willing to buy a $100 calibration mic and learn to use room EQ wizard software and spend a few hours measuring/tweaking/measuring/tweaking/etc/etc to get the full benefit. Beyond that, I don't really see the use for the "app" for long term use. Once I calibrate my subs, I never touch their controls again. In fact, one could argue a minidsp 2x4 + the RSL Speedwoofer could result in a better "tuning" option than the 3 band EQ in the svs sub.

True true true!
I have a pair of white Jamo "clones" of this sub that I got for $150/each when they were closing them out.
