I have one of these that is at least 30yrs old { yes, really). It is pretty much indestructible. About every 10 yrs I hit the joints with some lubricant. It stays in better shape than I do.

Harbor Freight also has a clone:

(Note: Apologies to those who saw the previous version of this. Harbor Freight doesn't issue their 20% Coupons anymore)

How safe would it be to use this as a budget bench for bench press?
Do you have good insurance?

I have the higher version of this. It is just ok. I cannot imagine what would you do with this one. This does not look sturdy/stable.

It's sturdy enough to stand on and can hold a few hunnred lbs but I cant figure out how you would even try to use this as a bench press. Not worth serious injury to cheap out on one.

I was really into these for a while and bought quite a few off of craigslist, The old ones are way overbuilt compared to the new ones. Weak point is generally the lil knobbies and other plastic parts falling apart but there's an aftermarket for them now.

Do pushups until you can buy proper equipment. Buy used if you're patient/frugal. (except weights, used prices are usually the same or more as SlickDeals)

Grab 3, one under the back, one under the butt and you can get your buddy to lock your ankles into the last one. No pain, no gain. #amiright

This price is good, but it has been lower. This was as low as $18 2 years ago.
Inflation is coming. The price of lumber has 5x in the last 6 months.

in for 1. I do not like using my kitchen table as a workbench. Hopefully this is good replacement and I can built it as reviews say its difficult. I already found YouTube video I will follow. THanks and repped!

In for one. I usually use kitchen table, chairs or floor and I end up making more work for myself.

I got this on sale, several months ago.

I haven't opened it yet.

If that's a behavioral trait you've exhibited in yourself, hopefully this makes you think twice.

I had my dad's too... Just replaced it with a few of the recent Keter tables from Sam's, and might get another one of these just for nostalgia sake
