I actually just got this controller and I'm planning on taking it back. For reference I was looking to replace a elite series 2 as I'm tired of replacing elite controllers because of broken bumpers. Here are the bad things I found about this controller. The buttons are amazing difficult to push. Maybe this doesn't matter for some people but my hands actually hurt after playing with it. I did not like the feeling of the joysticks (obviously subjective). I hated... Absolutely hated the buttons on the rear. On the elite controllers they travel farther down the handle on either side and stick out more. In general this makes the elite controller back buttons much easier to push imop. I found these to be incredibly uncomfortable. As far as I know you have to open the razer software on xbox to change the button layouts, which is less convenient than the elite controller. To be totally fair the best thing about the controller were the extra buttons on the inside of the triggers/bumpers. I wish other controllers would add these as I think I would use them.

I ended up getting the PowerA Fusion controller which I like a lot. Not as much as the elite controller, but its better than a elite controller with inconsistent bumpers.

To answer the question above my post, yes this controller has a very similar profile to a standard controller. It has no wireless capability and neither does the powerA.

I normally rest my index finger on L1/R1 and middle finger on L2/R2 when using a Playstation controller; I find that same arrangement to be awkward on my wireless XBOX One controller.. I'm assuming the controller in the OP is nearly the same form factor as the XBOX One controller?

Also, does the controller function wirelessly with the cable detached?

Great find. Bought one. Repped.

Bought it because of it's "reliability." Less issues than the Ultimate Version and Elite. But, with my luck I might get that one in one hundred lemon. lol.

I have it and like a lot except for the paddles. My bad, I am talking about the ultimate, I actually hear these paddles are easier to reach even though you get less of them. I have medium sized hands and find the paddles impossible to use comfortably. Maye I needed to get more muscle memory out of it but found the reach adjusted my grip on the controller and did not feel the same comfort. Also just in case you are unsure this is a wired controller

Now it's not the same one, but close. I have the "razer wolverine ultimate" so not sure if razer uses the same analog sticks in each. I played with a 0 deadzone on this controller for almost 9 months with no issues. I'm at 2-3 deadzone on both sticks in most games now after 2 years of owning it.

The only issue I've had was my right bumper double clicks sometimes. I only like the extra bumpers on these controllers to be honest. Every controller should add this. Also, fixing analog sticks are very easy. The devices cost something like .40c on ebay to replace. If you have an old controller you like, just find someone to replace the analog sticks with new ones.

I've had mine for a few months, play every night. No issues, great controller! Search vcuda on YouTube. Dude covers the TE well (and even weighs in comparing against the ultimate edition) and does regular check-ins after living with it.

I've had these for a few months. Pretty good in terms of working condition. Had to return 2 Elite series 2 and Razer Ultimate edition because of issues. I agree that the back peddles can be kinda hard to press but it doesn't bother me much. The face buttons on these feel really good with a lot of key travel. The extra shoulder buttons also feel nice and clicky too. They RGB light looks nice I guess. Being wired socks but for $80 I'll take the L.

$80 for a wired controller? Bahahahahahaha

For $70 they'll send you one of the new wireless ones to your door in 2 days. They are fantastic.

These are for gaming though right… tournament ? So wouldn't there be less lag from wired.

I have the ultimate, purchased December 2018. Between me and my kids we used the hell out of it and nothing broke, nothing drifts. Even the micro usb connector still works (I HATE micro usb) but the cord has a big plug that slides into a slot so the actual usb plug doesn't wobble and break off. The ABXY buttons have super short travel which I like and they still feel and work the same as day one.

I see what you're saying. If someone is gaming on a serious level, they're not using a Xbox. If they are, this would be an option, maybe, unless regulated by the hosting organization to use specific remotes.
