Oh man, thanks for sharing that. I was about to subscribe for a month. I thought it would work like Xbox Games with Gold, where you keep the game in your account as if you had bought it.

You can play the game as long as you have pro, once you lose pro you lose access until you get pro again. Which is exactly how Xbox Games with Gold works for Xbox One https://support.google.com/stadia...8862?hl=en.

No, that's not how Games with Gold works. You keep the game even if you no longer subscribe.

You may be getting confused with Game Pass.

That would have been the absolute best deal in gaming but that's not how it works from what I remember... and found the FAQ below.

From https://support.xbox.com/en-US/he...h-gold-faq

On Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, you'll no longer be able to access your Games with Gold titles if you cancel your subscription. However, if you decide to renew your subscription at any time, you'll be able to access and play your previously redeemed Games with Gold titles again.
On Xbox 360, any Games with Gold titles that you redeem as an Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member are yours to keep, regardless of whether you continue your subscription.

Wrong. Xbox one games you don't keep if your subscription lapses. It's the Xbox og and 360 games you keep permanently
