I think you're referring to the reference theater pack. That center has a 75W/300W peak vs this one of 100W/400W peak.

I own the theater pack and love it, rocks the house if I need it to, but more importantly it's clarity is awesome, including the center speaker, which I'm very impressed with even though it's small.

To me not worth the upgrade here but some may have a differing opinion as I'm no audiophile
Would this make a noticeable improvement over the center channel speaker included in the popular 5.1 $350 Klipsch system sold at Costco and other retailers?
(I haven't been able to find the model of the system center channel speaker)

This is a good deal. I missed out on it last time and was kicking myself for it. Glad it finally came back.

I think some people automatically downvote Klipsch/Adorama deals for reasons other than whether it's objectively a good/bad price.

Is this a noticeable improvement over the Andrew Jones Pioneer center channel? I really am having trouble clearly articulating peoples words with background noise, and finding myself trying to turn treble up and sacrificing bass. which ends up just sounding worse.

Is it a terrible idea to pair this with my Polk monitor 70 series ii towers? I've read you should stick with the same brand for a similar sound profile but I've also heard the center kind of stands alone. Been waiting for a polk center to go on sale but a little tired of waiting...

I wouldn't... continue waiting and buy a Polk that matches. Check Facebook marketplace; I know inventory is a huge variable, but I recently grabbed a CS2 center for $30.

It definitely is. I did this exact upgrade a few years ago. The speaker is massive compared to the Andrew Jones but it's much better

I'm guessing you mean using it as VOD placement speaker within a Auro 3D setup.
Technically you could but not sure that's the wisest choice.

If you are in the process of setting this up, keep in mind those are two different layouts(Atmos/X vs Auro 3D) and not compatible.

It will be very costly and not much Auro 3D content out right now.

I did and it really makes a difference in bass.

Another thing you might try (if it is an option on your receiver) is to go into your settings and turn the center channel volume or dB up. I had the same issue with my R-62C and was very upset until I turned it up.

Anyone have insight on how it compares to the Infinity RC252 that's also on sale right now?
