FYI I reached out to their sales team for clarification, and received the following response;

"We apologize for the confusion. The warranty is only a 2 year warranty. They do not offer a 4 year warranty with this coverage"

Hi jbn75 & scgt1,

We only recently started carrying the 4 Year accidental warranty, so some sales representatives may not be aware if it yet. I can assure you, the warranty you will be receiving with this TV purchase for the duration of this promotion is a 4 year warranty and not a 2 year warranty.

Thank you

OK WTF! The 4 year warranty page literally states the following:

"Starting 30 days after your purchase, the warranty runs for 2 years. This functions by running alongside the manufacturer's warranty during the first year, providing you with additional coverage."

That clearly states your 4 year warranty is 2 years. WTF kinda shady crap is this!

Also tax in TX

Tax:
$115.25
Order Total :
$1512.24

Between the tax and that shady as heck false 4 year warranty huge pass for me. I'll just wait for the Odyssey G9 2021 and buy the $170 BB 4 year warranty. Shady!

Does buydig charge sales tax in most states?

4 year from them covers burn-in. Big deal for those of us using this as a monitor.

**EDIT**

No sales tax in MO , this crushes the costco deal.

While I agree with OP that this is a better deal than Costco, I originally ordered a Samsung 4K from Buydig a few years ago, and had a lackluster experience. The panel came slightly bent on the lower left side along the frame which had either happened due to manufacturer packaging or blatant mishandling of the item. While all other experiences have been good with this seller, that one was not, and is worth mentioning if it's worth the gamble, go for it! YMMV

At least Buydig is offering awesome warranty coverage with the burn-in protection for 4 years, a $120 Visa gift card, no tax (for now) in Florida (thanks for effing that one up Ron DipshitSantis), along with 1% cash back through a few popular sites, in addition to 3% from my credit card on internet purchases, all in puts me at $1,221.12, it's an awesome value!

With Costco, I have 90 days to return if anything happens to the panel versus being told to ship it back at my cost and reimbursement will be determined upon their assessment of the TV. Not worth the risk for me if the TV is working, and fortunately has been since purchase.

At least I can't complain too much because Costco is still providing people $100 off coupons should they need one, bringing the final price to $1281.24 after coupon, tax, and 4% cash back (for those that have the Costco Visa). Additionally, there is a $100 Hulu credit that comes with the purchase. Not sure if you can sell that, but if you can, I've gotta assume you could unload it for anywhere between $80-$90, tentatively bringing the Costco price below $1200.

It's a long winded explanation, but I hope it helps if anyone is on the fence about pulling the trigger on this TV. Overall, it is definitely a great deal...especially for those without a Costco membership...or don't purchase before May 7 if they have that $100 off $500 coupon.

I am sure we will continue to see prices decrease on this model as the new one hits the market.

Burn-in coverage, people going for that probably extended their car's warranty.

This tv might be the tv of all tv's, and if you can throw away 1400 like a bag of doritos then go right ahead. But ain't no way ima take a 48" tv for the same price as a 55".

How many of you have used oleds as monitors for non gaming ? You like it?

If they sold this at $1000, they would have more buyers since 55" selling for same price at Costco

I use the 55" and it's too big but it is magnificent. I love the 120hz on the desktop, the colors are crisp, I have no complaints. I do minimize my Taskbar, use a black desktop, hide my desktop icons, and set the screen saver to 2 minutes to ensure I minimize any possible burn in, but I'm just being overly careful. I have been strongly considering moving the 55 to the bedroom and picking up the 48 for the desktop.

I swapped all 4 computers in the house to 48" CX last year. Best investments ever!

It'll get better this year hopefully with new manufacturing processes. Reason 48" was still so high last year was due to how the panels were cut and only so few were made.

Considerably changes the value as it's highly unlikely someone would see any type of burn in within that period of time.

I call bait and switch on this deal. How can they say a 4 year isn't offered. The title of the warranty page clearly states 4 YEAR.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to decode the item number CPSEW41500TVA
CPS=company
EW= Extended Warranty
4=the term
1500=tv cost (under this amount)
TV=duh TV
Not sure what the A is though but who cares. Probably Accidental.
Part number is the same decode as above minus the company.

The image clearly shows 4 year and below the terms it's in freakin bold

"4 Year Accidental Television Extended Warranty under $1500"

Funny they have been called out on this and nothings been changed yet.
