These things need 16GB RAM IMO. If you're OK with 8GB, you mine as well buy an Air

That being said, this isn't that bad of a 'deal' compared to other 4-5 thumbs up postings. It's $100 more than the 256gb model that got good ratings here

This is a good deal considering no sales tax. It's been that price on AAFES fairly regularly over the past couple months.

It's almost as good as buying a refurb with the same configuration from the Apple veteran/military store.

Yeah wouldve bought it already from AAFES if wasnt sure if I want to trade in my old 15" macbook pro which u can do if u buy it directly from Apple website.
Ridiculous that you can get better deal on Apple devices from AAFES website than Apple even with education or military discount from Apple!

No, they don't. 8GB is perfectly fine for a typical Air for typical use.

16+ is for more intense tasks.

This was for a MacBook Pro, not a MacBook Air. Definitely agreed 8GB is fine for an Air.
