Deals from this seller have been posted before. I ordered P27h - hope everything will be in line with my expectations.

Go to their website and use code 10VIPFIRST for another 10% off. They raise the price there but the code still saves you $10

i've picked up multiple P27u-10 from this seller, and had to return all of them.

these are refurbished by lenovo, but the reason why lenovo isn't selling them is because it's not refurbishing. It's just a cleaning.

These monitors have dead pixels, major backlight bleed, or purple spots.

Oh, that's some disturbing news. Do you have any good recommendation on how to check the monitor so that there will be no surprises down the road? I've been waiting for this monitor to fall into my allowance limits but I definitely don't want to settle on a subpar experience

just the basics. use one of the websites that lets you set your entire screen to various colors.
I find black the most important one. Make sure your room is pretty dark. Then go through each color and scan the entire screen.

Since these are ips monitors, expect some backlight bleed. But the bleed on one of the monitors was really bad. It was to the point of having the corner have a yellowish hue to it.

Dead/stuck pixels are harder to find since they're so tiny. I found stuck pixels with the black screen. Just a bunch of individual white pixels.

Another screen had a small purple smudge. I believe this is from physical damage.

Thanks for the helpful info. Do you remember if yours were Grade A or lower? Tying to understand what if their grading system has any predictive power

I had the same negative experience. I ordered grade A monitors and all of them were extremely bad. Lot of bleed... One with few dead pixels. Very unacceptable. A monitor something that you will look at in your eyes will feel it if the monitor is bad. Don't skimp out on a monitor just look for a deal on a brand new monitor

Got a T34-W with 10% off to $242 on vipoutlet website before they raise the price. With USB-C and 1440p resolution, it is worth trying it out. The worst case is to return it for free.

Actually, I bought a lenovo monitor and it had similar bleeding. After about 3-4 months of regular use, its almost entirely gone. I believe many of these were sitting unused in tight packaging for months and thats why you see such dramatic backlight bleed out of the box. In my case, it went away almost entirely.

As for dead pixels, my 4k monitor has maybe 4-5 if I really look. But on a 27-32" 4k monitor - you aren't going to notice them like you would 1080p monitors of the past. I could only find them on a pure white screen after a few minutes of searching from a few inches away. I'd only worry if you have a big clump of them.

Yup, also got my P27h - they used tons of bubble wrap so mine have come intact. Did a quick check and everything seems to be ok - will do a proper inspection later. I managed to get extra 15% on top of their promo price, so, assuming everything is good, this will total to $160 for a pretty decent monitor.
My only gripe is their "edgeless" claim - turned off the monitor indeed looks sleek, but there is a 5mm black frame between the bezel and the picture.
Curious now if I can apply Costco warranty to it. Any thoughts?

p27h with usb c is definitely a good deal. I don't think you can apply Costco warranty though. Mine was also wrapped extensively.
