Exactly. People need to stop participating in the BS saas plans. It just another method for these companies to enslave you.

Microsoft has changed how MS Offfice works. Instead of buy the program one-time it's now subscription based. So no more Office 2010, Office 2013 or Office 2016. It's just Microsoft 365 which will have regular updates from them. I hope it helps.
