Nice to see 4k@144Hz hitting the same price I bought my current 1440p@165Hz monitor back in 2021.

"TERRIBLE black uniformity"
extreme light bleed, strictly buy this for competitive gaming and for games with no dark scenes. You might die do to how distracting the light bleed is in a dark scene playing competitively.

4k at 27" - to me this resolution / size makes no sense but at this price you can get 2 x 1440ps 27"

Pre pandemic 1440p 144hz 32in VA monitors were $250… Covid really screwed up pricing.

For macOS it works well because the scaling is reliable and current macOS is designed for HiDPI, though I prefer 32" 4k for productivity. For PC gaming 1440p 27" is the sweet spot, and I find 32" too big for gaming. 27" 4k@144Hz would be a compromise for me where I use it for both macOS and PC gaming.

31.5" AOC Agon Pro AG324UX 4K UHD 144Hz 1ms IPS Gaming Monitor $390 might be a better deal at this moment.

How close are people sitting near their screen to want 4k 27"? That PPI is crazy

I would like how crisp but it's really diminishing returns here over time once you turn 30 lol

It does make a difference if you're sitting less than 30" from the monitor. It's not as drastic as going from 1080p to 1440p on the same monitor size, but the difference is there. 4k does look better in games but to get a great experience IMO you need a 4080 or higher. Even a 4090 will struggle at 4k if everything is turned up and you're used to 100+ FPS in every game.
