I can understand this: they used to be great, back when they were all made in San Francisco. They went corporate, and the last one I bought - a few years back - I sent back.

Nice find. Can the straps be tucked in to carry horizontally? Because if not they kinda dangle around...

It doesn't appear to have the top zipper on the rear that their bags that tuck usually have. I would say no, but the one I have that has the tuck, I'll be honest, I almost never tuck it unless I'm flying.

I've owned 3 Timbuk2 bags, only because my employer gave them as gifts, and let me be the first to say they suck. All 3 were different models. You're paying for a name brand because functionality is horrendous. Its not an ugly bag, but msrp is a joke for these. My dakine backpack was $25 on Amazon and it blows my 3 Timbuk2 out of the water

I own a Timbuktu laptop bag that is convertible into a backpack and absolutely love it. The quality and durability has been great. I've owned it for a few years and it's been smashed under many airline seats and still looks new. The zippers and fabric is high quality. I would jump on this if I was in need of a backpack.

I have this one for work. I've had it for about 6 years now. I've taken it between dozens of client sites and brought it across the pond to Europe several times. Very functional as a work bag, if you are using it for anything else, get something different.

I have this exact bag and it's totally worth it. I travel monthly for work. Had the bag for about 2 years. This bag is easily good for a 3 day work trip.

have the same bag that i paid $50 via amazon a few years ago and it's solid. has just enough space for your laptop plus other things without being too bulky. the size is just right, not too big or small. $39 is a great deal!

Used this bag for six years through college and work. Dings and scratches aren't too noticable and it has held up remarkably well.

Have this bag. One thing I don't like is that it's hard to set it upright in ground, keeps tipping forward. Otherwise no complaint. Solid bag.

Agree with this.

I have the bag and it is light and well made. Some of the pockets took a little while to figure out but now I really like it. The bottom zip-pocket it really handy to store the power brick and mouse. A steal at this price.
