I don't think I have used this brand, but cheese powder is great for making cheese sauces. Mix some with milk or water, browned hamburger, and egg noodles, and you have a nice "hamburger helper". How about some cheese sauce for nachos? Or as a dip. And of course, there is always mac & cheese.
2 pound white cheddar much better value.

Can someone explain to me common uses for this? I have to imagine it isn't snorting it.

1) Compared to powdered cheese? Or is there an implied "/s" in your post?

2) Processed cheese actually melts better/doesn't get stringy, so many people prefer it to real cheeses in recipes.
I guess it depends on the product. https://www.amazon.com/Andrew-Eve...07PDSD5JV/ doesn't look bad at all; a bit higher fat content and sodium content.

Anyone know if it's cheddar scented too or does it just taste like cheddar?

It has a good cheddar scent. I bought this a few weeks back when it last went on sale. I don't know if the one I received is bad, but it's absolutely tasteless - no cheddar taste at all. There's several reviews on Amazon that had a similar problem.

I thought "maybe it's covid," but the cookie I ate after was just fine.

What's the advantage to use this over real cheese? Is it cheaper? Can you keep it unrefrigerated? Is it lower fat content? Clearly for sprinkling over popcorn this is superior (though you can buy cheese popcorn seasoning pretty cheap), but why would I make like mac and cheese or otherwise keep this around?
It is cheaper and you keep it unrefrigerated for about a year...not sure about fat content, i haven't checked lately. I just buy the 5lb bags of this stuff

No need to buy this product. You can easily make this at home. Take a cheese block and put it through a coffee grinder...Voila!

Do you even know what processed means? They just add sodium citrate to make it melt better. It is also how 90% of cheese sauces are made as well.

Quote :
The exact details of these subsequent processes are what determines the labeling on the package, and those can be as simple as blending it with another cheese or as complex as melting it with additional whey, milk proteins, and emulsifying salts. This is what allows American cheese to melt without breaking or turning greasy the way a traditional cheese does.

Let's get another thing straight. All cheese is processed. All of it. It is a man-made product that does not exist in nature.

Some people like to just take a word that sounds bad and run with it. I make melty queso using pepper jack by adding a teaspoon of sodium citrate and either milk or beer probably once a month. Not sure how that suddenly makes it bad.

It means they take already made cheese(s), mix together, cook them (pasteurize), and add an emulsifier.

Yup. Look at it like chocolate or ice cream. They have guidelines on cocoa butter, cocoa for chocolate and fat content, weight for ice cream and if they aren't met you have to call it something else like chocolate flavored or frozen dessert.

anything you want cheddar flavor on - but feeling lazy or out of fresh cheddar:

popcorn
noodles
potato
rice
breads
(all the carbs)
cooked hot vegetables
eggs- especially scrambled

can even use this instead of the salt packet in ramen - but rinse some of the access salt on ramen noodles first.

plan to incorporate it into my low energy life style.

so many things taste better with cheddar.

"BUY BUY BUY!!"
Is this a front page deal, or is Amazon buying this spot?
