Cricut changed their minds after user backlash...

May 15th they announced the upcoming change.
May 16th they reversed course slightly, stating that anyone with a registered account with a Cricut machine associated would not have to sign up.
May 18th they reversed completely, stating unlimited uploads at no charge with no plans to change.

They may have back tracked, but I wouldn't trust them with my money.

Since their business model was built on the "lock in", I suspect their reversal is either temporary or a prelude to something equally heinous.
