As a farther of 3 kids with 2 premature babies, it is nice to have but you don't need it.

Agreed up there. Unless there's a medical need for the sock, owlet is just overkill.

i did this yesterday and it worked... (came here to share deal)
Just went to front desk and asked them to price match. The price $224 at amazon/walmart/best buy/bed bath and beyond.

Same with the camera
At target its $150 + $50 gift card. everywhere else has it for $100.

To echo what others are saying, unless you need to monitor the baby oxygen levels or heart rate, there is nothing good about the camera that makes the owlet worth getting. You can only access the camera through the app on android or iOS and that's it and on Android if you minimize the app you cant just open the app up again to view the camera I have to force it close and reopen it. I can't recommend this product at all. There's def better cameras that are cheaper even if you pay $100. I got this free as a gift and not really happy with it as there def better options out there for half the cost.

It's really YMMV like OP said, depending on the cashier whether s/he's an over achiever or an arshole. Anything that related to GC after PM, they will not give you GC afterall. They will call manager before scanning the GC. And, you will end up with PM without GC.

But if it's a clipable coupon from target wallet, the chance is higher.

I have the Owlet 2. I ignored the reviews that showed the baby's foot being burnt by it thinking it was user error. The pictures weren't clear and I thought it was just an imprint if the sock. It happened to my baby's foot after several months of use. I don't know if they've fixed the problem but I would not recommend. This is coming from a first time dad that went overboard and bought everything including the Snoo, Nanit Plus, and even a Nest IQ camera to monitor the baby.

You sound like me, this is my first week with the snoo. Don't notice any sleep improvements over regular basinet.

We had used the owlet for both of our kids, it was mostly for our peace of mind which allowed us to sleep more soundly. Our daughter would only sleep on her stomach so this was even more important for her and increased risk for SIDS. It seems like overkill but if it did happen to notify you when an event happens there is no price too high for that.

For moms who suffer from postpartum anxiety or just anxiety in general, it is very helpful. I couldn't sleep without using it.

Guess i got lucky.. i went to first cashier.. she said they dont price match other stores...lol
Then i went to customer service.. she used their price checker app but it would not detect the price at amazon or walmart... then they tried BBB.. and she was able to see the price..
She has to get a supervisor to approve the price match... then they were like... guess what you get a gift card... guess how much.. i played dumb and said $20.. they were happy and said you get $75...

then next day i went to a different store for the camera... i showed her the price on my phone.. and that was enough for her. she price matched it and gave me the giftcard..

I'm sorry to hear what happened to ur babe with the owlet! This is what keeps me from getting it! How did the snoo work for you? I'm planning on getting it this time around

The Snoo actually worked really well for our baby. We followed the instructions and it works in about 1 to 1.5 weeks. He slept through most nights after that quite easily. Personally, is recommend it, but I only know one other couple that used it and liked it. I know more parents that didn't like it.

I don't think that's how statistics works... (i.e. "my kids survived so it's totally fine" vs "1 out of every N kids die because of X")

It is being overly cautious, but why not? There's no detriment to using one & you can always sell used when done
