In general:
Wash your face.
Moisturize.
Wear Sunscreen
Use a Retinoid (make sure to use gradually and then build up, you need to give your skin time to adjust).
If you then have other skin concerns or issues, use some other items for: helping even skin tone, reduce, redness, fight acne, etc.
I used Vitamin C treatment to help with skin tone and Salicylic Acid in my facewash to help fight acne.
Morning:
Wash face w/ mild cleanser.
Apply Vitamin C
Apply SPF (Elta MD makes amazing ones)
Afternoon:
Reapply SPF throughout the day
Evening:
Wash face w/ mild cleanser that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide
Apply my tretinoin/retinoid (when my face is barely damp)
Apply moisturizer and some Aquaphor to my lips to use as a lip sleeping mask.
Please don't spend a fortune on skincare products <3
Editing to add that there are a lot of great dermatologists on YouTube that offer great skincare advice. I am a pretty big fan of the guys on the Doctorly channel.
