I've been looking at pianos for a while and thought about this one before, although the Yamaha DGX-670 is like the hot new piano in this price range. Can anybody speak to how the 670 would compare to this? (Presuming one is willing to wait for the 670 to come back in stock)

The action beats the 670's GHS by a hair, but the sound setup on the 670 both hardware and software greatly exceeds what the es110 is packed with.

For a beginner you can argue, well 670 is more powerful, but the more advanced features arn't necessarily useful right away.

I Think they're both good value at their respective price points.

If you're going the VST route, connecting to a PC, then this may be a better choice than dgx670.

Otherwise, for out of the box fun stuff, dgx670 is the better kit, (that said, out of stock everywhere).

I played this at a friend's house for few years. Friend is a pro and i am beginner-intermediate. Recently bought Korg B2 and pkaying over 2 weeks now. My take; Kawai has very different and mild tone compare to Korg that requires good pedal and finger hammering control whereas Korg sounds just right even if you lake finger strength. The speakers in B2 itself are worth the price, it sounds so full that keeps motivating beginners. Hammer action on Kawai feels much better but if you practice in any Piano you will surely overcome any shortfall in action.
Kawai has more instruments but I purely play Piano hence B2 is sufficient for me at my level.

Just my 2 cents.

I can't believe I'm still waiting for my Roland F-701 that was supposed to ship February... I really want to buy this or a KORG and just cancel the Roland.

Well if you want F701, then you'd swap for an ES520 or 920. nod

I think the Korg c1 and g1 are really overpriced and dated for this bracket.

At this price no brainer, get the es110. Do remember with es110 you will need a midi to usb adapter to connect to tablet/ pc apps.

If you really like the p125 sound though, that could still make the difference for you personally.

Read my post earlier. I am begginner-intermediate and like B2 very much over this. And the price difference made my wallet happy too.

This is such a bargain. I was going to buy an 11 key keyboard for 200$ but this is 8 x the keys for less money.

This, they're similar in most aspects, but this piano sounds better and it has a real foot pedal with it.
