I had same rack/bench set for 8 years (gold's gym branded). Standard 7 ft bar works, I got a 310lb Olympic weight (or somewhere around that number) set when I got the rack/bench.

You can squat with it, supports adjust up and down with screw through bolts in about 1" increments, so you can set them at your comfortable height level to unrack the weight. It takes under 30 seconds to adjust both sides.

Dicks sports or Academy sports have 300lbs olympic weight and barbell sets for $300. This is going to be the best deal out there. Not really hard to find stock now. I know you only said you could 200lb but you want some room to grow and also have different weight combinations for different exercises.

This or the Weider XRS 20? They both look very similar but this one has less reviews.
I have the XRS 20 squat rack and it is ok but just a bit shaky and one side's bar rest not level (off 3-5 degrees) no matter how many times I reassemble. Therefore I feel my weights are not fully secure when resting. Other reviews of XRS have said similar so not just me.

It is actually for that reason I bought this to see if better quality and level. Not expecting pro gym quality of course but just something decent that holds 225 or so without any issues.

Guessing this is pretty well exactly the same as the xrs20. First time I've seen it below MSRP in a year. XRS20s were going for $500 on Craigslist around me last spring/summer. Pretty nuts. I used this last year and was able to stay in good shape with the 300 lbs bar and weights from weider. This isn't super high end, but does the trick.

Did you have a chance to compare the two? Which one do you like now?
