I'm tempted to get this for my living room to replace a Panasonic plasma, but realized I don't think my PC in my living room can do 4K, and I don't have a DisplayPort to hdmi adapter for a Mac I could use instead (2012 Mac, not sure it can do 4K either)

Why not just output at 1080p and have the TV upscale? This is what it's doing with most console signals.

I love mine. I got from Walmart though for $528
The model number is probably a hair different but for 2 months this tv has been amazing. I also got from Walmart if I didn't like it etc their return policy will let you basically take anything back even if there isn't an issue 👍🏼

I have this one. The blacks just don't get quite dark enough for viewing in a bright room, but the picture is pretty nice. If that bothers you, I might pass on it. Also if you're not using a separate streaming device, know that the OS isn't the greatest and it does not have Bluetooth either.

IMO the viewing angles on VA panels are not as bad as they are made out to be, unless you are being critical, which reviewers are. For me, I do see some loss of color depth and contrast, but I can still see what is going on. I doubt the average person would even notice. It is not nearly as bad as TN panels. The best way to experience it is to go to a bestbuy or another store and see if you think it will be a problem for you.
