Already have a 27 inch 1080p for gaming. Wouldn't it make sense to get a 30 inch monitor to make better use of this resolution? Does anyone know of a deal on a bigger 1440p ?
I'm no expert but 27" 1440p 144 Hz seems to be a pretty ideal setup. A bigger screen means you probably have to sit back more. A refresh higher than 144 doesn't seem to add much. Most people don't have the power to drive 4K at high rates. So for now that seems to be a good balance of stats.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm still learning.

if you are mainly a FPS gamer , 27" 1440p 170/165/144hz is the absolute sweet spot depending on how many frames your build can push at that resolution.

now if you are mainly a AAA title player or single player casual gamer, 32" curved 1440p 144+hz or 32" 4k if your computer can push 4k60fps steady.

again, at the end of the day, it comes down to preferences which is why I always recommend folks to purchase monitors from brick and mortar locations so that returns are easy in the case that the monitor does not suit your needs.

Still waiting on a good 24" or smaller QHD gaming monitor. 27" is a bit too large for both PC gaming (at least the games I play) and for QHD. 24" is good enough, 22 or 23 might be better. Currently have a couple 27" 4K monitors but want a smaller QHD gaming monitor. I may just have to settle for 1080p to get a better size.

Got this monitor over a year ago for $359 and have zero regrets. Amazing 1440P. Turned a few friends to this themselves who are quite the monitor snobs and they finally stopped being a snob basically. 5/5

I'm guessing Dell coming out with the 24" version of this is akin to finding a unicorn in a needle stack?

I love my S2417DG, but the color banding is starting to wear on me.
the world has moved on. 27" and higher gets the newest attention. You can still find 25" gaming monitors pretty stacked with stats. seems at 24" there is always a concession with either the refresh or the resolution. finding both together and the price pushes one to a bigger monitor.

only 60/75hz though.
