With free delivery on this natural gas version, a great price to heat your garage, workshop, etc. No vent and 99.9% efficient with O2 depletion sensor, the 6,000 to 30,000 btu output will heat a small to fairly large area.

We have one in the basement and put one in my Dad's garage where he spends a lot of time. No electric required unless you want to add an additional fan, nice when the power goes out.

Note: The propane version is $97, but adds $80 delivery fee, so not a great deal.

He he, except for last winter.
Cool story bro
I have this in a 2.5 car garage in Chicago area. On the coldest of days itd get the garage up to 70+ in about an hour. Its great if you work a lot outside, but don't expect to turn it on and have a toasty car/garage in 15min or anything. This is a great buy though.

Can this be installed inside the house such as in a living room? So far I only read that people installed these in their garages.

Yes you can, I have it on my basement as the main source of heat. I have a friend that uses it on his living as the main Source of heat as well.

Thanks. I have a natural gas fireplace in the living room. Thinking of placing this in front of the fireplace in case of emergency. I'll buy a set of legs for it. Besides the legs, do I need to buy anything else? I assume it comes with a hose connection for natural gas hookup.

These types of ventless gas heaters are not recommended to be used as a primary heat source. They are more designed to supplement smaller areas. You run the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. That being said growing up my family and many people I know used propane and natural gas as a primary heat source. We have one of these exact units in a small cabin and have never died. Unless your home is airtight you will probably be fine. Just make sure to have a carbon monoxide detector.

Great price for the natural gas. Only deal breaker for me was that this model doesn't have a built-in thermostat.

The version I bought at Rural King a few years ago didn't come with the hose/valve connection kit, that was an extra $10 or so.

Something like this.

remember infrared heaters heat surfaces and not air. (like when you walk under the heaters of hotel entrances). make sure that's the type of heat you want in your finished basement
