My apologies!! As big a fan of Costco, I have always stuck with buying big purchases from them. But, I truly believe the All state Costco insurance is absolutely useless since it doesn't cover accidents. I got the Cx 4 months back and let me tell you Oled screens are lot more fragile then regular LEDs. Something hit the TV when moving and it got a tiny crack ( hardly 1mm). I had just completed 3 months and neither Costco nor LG were willing to help. Oled's don't even start once this happens, unlike LEDs. So if you have an option, I highly recommend you buy from Best Buy or anywhere else with 'Accident Protection'. That really is the best you can do for such a large investment. Because replacing the screen by yourself is more expensive that buying the TV itself.

Best Buy warranty covers burn in. But runs about 500 extra for tv this price and doesn't cover accidents.

Wow. I didn't know that. How much was the a9g last year? Covid messed everything up. Technically a9g is almost 2 years old. Because of Covid they never released the a8h 77"
Heading into last October, when Prime Day occurred last year, the 77" A9G was $4999. On Prime Day, it was it was marked down to $3498 where it basically stayed although it did have a brief additional $200 discount on black Friday. The 65" A8H went from $2499 to $1799 on Prime Day, then went right back up to 2499 afterwards where it sat for the most part except for a brief period back at 1799 for Black Friday.
With the $1000 cut already I doubt we get such huge deals this year, but I think 2999 on the 77" a80j is very possible. Since it's only a month out, I'll probably wait.

Which company are you paying to? and what is the deductible? That's seems too good to be true
It's Amerisave. It covers accidental damage. Like spilling a coffee on a laptop or knocking a TV off a console, etc.

I can't remember other than it's insanely cheap. $100 or less.

Just bought this 2 days ago from Costco! Hopefully they will do a price match so I don't have to deal with doing a return and rebuy.
I had to do that one time. They would not price match tv went down $200. I bought one at the current price and turned right around after getting my receipt checked. I returned the new tv in the box with my old receipt with the higher price. They had to have known what I just did and didn't say anything.

We just bought this exact TV on Saturday and my wife was able to get them to adjust the price for us yesterday. Saved $216 after taxes. Might vary by store, but if I understood their price adjustment policy correctly you should be good for 30 days.

which is based on users doing most of the work?
And? I suppose you not liking their model means you can circumvent the way they make money? Can I have your salary because I don't think you work hard enough?
Please, get some friends who think differently than you do on important issues.

I had to do that with a vacuum once, I even asked the manager "what's to stop me from buying one right now and returning it with this receipt", she said "nothing, go ahead".

Really dumb, they wouldn't price adjust a Dyson I just bought because of black friday pricing but their return policy basically allows me to do whatever I want, what a waste of everyone's time.

You can get it for $2500 at Video Only if you live near one. All you have to do is trade in any old junk display TV, Monitor, whatever it doesn't even have to work. They'll give you $500 off of the price which they will price match. I actually got mine for less than $2500. I started a thread about the Video Only deal a month ago but was told it want a good deal.
Thanks. I saw it. I wish I had one near by. I'm all the way in florida. Nothing near me and they don't ship.

All time low is $2499 from Video Only for this model, so this still has some room to drop.

Fair point about Costco....get yourself a Sony OLED and buy accidental coverage...skip burn-in coverage since it doesn't appear to happen on Sony oleds... Wink

LG should lower the price of 65" too.

As a C8 owner, I am waiting for all the OLED/DVR mfg's to figure out 4k120 VRR through the full chain with eARC before committing $ to upgrade.

Sounds like CX/C1 should be fine, but over the years I've seen enough incompatibilities on new tech like ARC, CEC, and others with my LG that I'm waiting a bit for DVR's to catch up to make sure I don't run into that again and be forced to wait for patches that may or may not come.

I too bought mine from Video Only for $2500. They told me to bring any TV, working or not. I said I didn't have one. They told me, no worries, they have extras, just come on down. So I got mine for $2500 without even needing to trade in a TV. .

All 4K 120 features along with eARC is the best in the business on the 2020 and 2021 LG OLEDs
