"No, all Macs use a proprietary nvme part that is not compatible with the standard. There are adapters, but I had corruption issues the one time I tried it." - [haydentech]

yes, with an adapter. been able to for years. you could have done it anytime. No need for a bleeding edge NVMe with a 6 year old MBP

TONS of other 1TB NVMes out there at or below this price...

Yes, it works! You need certain work around if your mac is on an older version of the OS at times. Google and you will find ways to get it worked.

Currently, nothing will. Definitely don't buy any drive for that purpose until Sony releases their official compatibility list.

Not as good as the $108 it normally goes on sale for, but this is the next best thing.

Claimed TBW is a joke, SK Hynix rates their enterprise drives at 3 DWPD, this should have compatible memory module endurance.

How long is their "planned lifecycle"? 3 years @ 3DWPD is only ~1000 TBW

From what I read, this drive is a good choice for a mobile installation due to its low power consumption.

They have 5 year warranty, but even 3y x 3DWPD x 1TB is ~3000TBW.

This drive is about as fast as you can get for a gen 3 NVME if you are looking for benchmarks. https://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Spe...1-1000GM-2

You are right. I get R/W 3574/3224 MB/s and the 970 Evo plus I get R/W 3263/2894 MB/s both 1TB drives.
