It's always a good idea to have these cameras on a separate VLAN that does not have access to your network and the internet. Because of that, I'd suggest a cheap sell optiplex for like $300 as a dedicated BI server that is on its own VLAN

Anyone have any ideas if the ai would integrate with Blue Iris? In other words, can an ai trigger on the camera trigger an alert in BI? I imagine this ai could be handled by the BI Deep Stack integration, but this seems like a pretty good price and that's a bit of CPU processing I could offload to the camera without increasing false alerts, or reducing functionality.

Have this in the dome camera version. My only complain is I am using with 4K and 2k cameras and the image is more rectangular then my other wide angle cameras. The sound works really well with BI and that is what I got it for.

According to this article, BI has a setting under motion detection that records based on cameras trigger. So if you have it set on AI motion trigger on camera, BI should be able to record based on that.

I just got a 2 pack of the 410-5mp for really cheap and I think the only thing better is the AI, which in my experience is complete garbage or a full on lie.

Are you saying rlc-410-5mp AI is not good at all?

I'm sorry. I have their 8mp 4k cameras and I'm saying that Reolink AI seems to be complete garbage period. Or a complete marketing tactic.

I think the only thing vetter about the 510-5mp is mostly this AI stuff, so I went for a two pack of thr 410-5mp to add onto my NVR

Am I reading this right that it doesn't have two-way voice? Seems like being able to hear AND speak would be a prerequisite for this kind of product?

Am I missing something?

My lady would definitely like to have a good visible camera to monitor and alert. I'd like to be able to see who's at the door from upstairs or off site. And have some security monitoring in case someone slips in the driveway or something, I have it on tape.

Can anyone recommend something cheap and simple to use/install that does all that. With the motion sensing. I'm probably asking too much but please help if you have experience/expertise. I just don't know anything about these things.

Thanks in advance!

Can anyone provide some information on what I need to look into to set up a BI setup with these? I was about to buy an all in one NVR system but I keep seeing that its way better to do BI. I already have a home media server running so I am unsure what else I would need. I'm guessing a switch to connect everything to and some sort of software. Would love to be able to get 8 of these to cover my house, run them to a switch in my attic, then have a single cable run down to my media server if that's possible. Any links/info would be super appreciated while I do some research on my own.

Hi powrivercat

fyi - numerous members at ipcamtalk report issues with Reolink's iFrames and Blue Iris.

Ideally, look for a camera which you can customize the iFrame if you want to use the cameras with Blue Iris.
