I'll give thumbs up just for the info.

Don't want to drive to Dallas but I see they are stocked up.... so hopefully that means other places will be soon too.

Anyone get 5950x recently from microcenter? Is the stock listed on the site actually reliable?

I haven't tried to get any of these chips, but I think if it says "25+" for over a day like it has at my nearest location, you should be fine. If a store says it has only 5 in stock, that's when you should get suspicious. And that's only because Micro Center restricted the ability to reserve Ryzen 5000, most GPUs, and Rocket Lake online. I only got an incomplete reservation once and that was for an open box SSD.

Actually, I see that you can reserve the Rocket Lake CPUs now.

Almost every store had "25+" 5950X this morning. Those were flying off the shelves months ago but demand has cooled off. Go for it?

5950x was available in abundance wheb I went at 5pm on Sunday. It was not even oos during last weekend. So, I believe the supply shirtage in this is very close to being over or just over. i wish the same for the GPUs. It is hard for me to understand NVIDIA uses both samsung and TSMC for fabrication, but are still having shortages.

It's a demand problem. Crypto miners are buying the cards up, big time. Any card you can buy that can make even an overall $5 a day proft from crypto is going to be used. It's why 1650s and even the Pascal cards are impossible to get and expensive on the resale market. GTX 1650s are going for $400! I bought my 1650 last July for $150.

Got a 5950 and 5900 two weeks ago from there. When I asked if they were selling out quickly, the employees chuckled and said, they have hundreds in the back. (I asked because I only saw two left in the cage).

If it doesn't have 8GB ram, then it's not being used and isn't worth anything. You can buy 1650s from MC all day for under 200 and that's just the markup from no gaming cards being available.

I live a half mile from Microcenter in Houston. There hasn't been a single 1650 or better in stock in months unless you get in line many hours before or the day before. They might randomly get some in during the day but they sell out in minutes and there is no way to know about them without being there in person because their website doesn't show inventory unless it's been in stock overnight.
