Need to get some and prepare. The winter freeze in February killed all the ants that were around my house and many that got inside too, but they will eventually come back. Thanks.

I have a vegetable garden in the backyard. Is it ok to put this 10 feet from it?
Should be fine. It will get the ants to move away from your garden and eat the bait out there.

Dollar tree also has ant powder that works for indoors
too messy(I assume you meant Borax stuff)

2 weeks ago I had some inside the house coming out of tiny cracks. I could not locate where in the backyard they got in from. Very frustrating. I did see some back there hopefully this will get rid of them. I have tried Borax in the past, initially it worked but they seemed to have become immune to it now. Thanks

I know you can make home made, never works quite as well for me. I prefer just buying the squeeze bottle, and putting some in a soda/water cap. They cant even finish that amount when its bad, and you have a lot less waste that way.

Time costs.
I have better more interesting things to do.
I guess next time I should mine some borax when I camp at Death Valley.
Pretty sure you didn't need to be a dick about it. Not the person you quoted, either, just someone who thinks being a dick for the sake of being a dick makes you, well, a dick.

Then again, it might just be a personality defect and you couldn't help it?

Put me firmly in the camp of "I make my own" because, well, I have borax in the house already (for other uses) and while my time is indeed worth something, I'm not so highly or lowly paid - or neurotic - that I need to account for 60 seconds of my time.

Thanks for recommending that, I'll check it out. The image alone pretty much looks like what my pest control guy uses.
No problem. It is definitely a professional level product.

exterminator made the mistake of tossing his empty product tube in my trash can.
Advion gel. it's on amazon for 28 for a 4 pack. kills sugar ants in a two days at least, and carpenter ants are a bit more resilient, but can be wiped out in two weeks.

Advance 375 granulated bait was much more effective for me and made less of a mess, but I had a SEVERE infestation which took me a while to figure out how to control.
I use advance 375 for the protein hungry ants and advion gel for those looking for sugar. bought plastic traps online with two compartments so i can keep both products out at the same time.

wiped out a really big carpenter ant colony that way. had them coming from my master bath and in the columns on the front porch.

wife wasn't pumped to walk in the bathroom and see 100's of ants feeding on the gel. but they were gone in a couple of weeks.

Just got back home from Ace, I bought 2 of the Terro Ant Bait packages.
I was only going to get one but I downloaded the Ace Hardware app and it gave me $5 off of $5.
I ended up paying $1.70.

Like another poster said I don't like paying tax on the full price of the items.
I don't when they started doing that in my state.
I bought a pair of shoes last month that were on sale and I was charged tax on the sale price.

Anyway I'm ready when the ants show up.
A nice tasty treat that they can load up on and take back home and share with their friends and family.

Good price. But I prefer to use a flame thrower.
