deal [amazon.com]

checkout via s&s, and apply the following stacking coupon codes
  • EP5FKVRT for 40% off
  • NANFU001 for extra 12% off
Prices after coupons:
  • 48-Ct AAA $8.59
  • 48-Ct AA $9.88
  • 4-Ct 9 Volt $5.58 NLA - Available Again
These are lowest prices I have seen on these batteries. In fact, I am not sure if both coupons were supposed to stack and since the addition of S&S, we already have 3 stacking discounts... Smilie

I read the few reviews. I think I will pass on this one.
Nanfu being shilled again. 🤦

Check prior posts on these subpar Chinese batteries.

At this quality you are better off buying the batteries at harbor freight. they are cheaper than these too!

edit:

here are the coupons for harbor freight. 24 pack for $1.39, choice of AA or AAA.

How often you replace a detector's batter? Put something decent in it and forget about it!

Rating 4.6 out of 5 is bad? Are you saying those reviews are fake? Wish they had a smaller pack

Woot also has a deal for cheap AA batteries right now. 96 AA ACDelco for $15. https://electronics.woot.com/offe...-batteries

Comes out to 15.6 cents per ACDelco AA battery on Woot vs 20.5 cents per Nanfu AA here.
This one is Alkaline, the acdelco you linked are not. I think they're different uses..

I'd encourage everyone not to buy these cheap low quality batteries. They die out fast, leak sooner, and you end up having to replace them. But the more important part is that they create a lot of unnecessary hazardous waste in our landfill. At the end of the day, your savings over good quality ones is marginal but you are creating a lot of battery waste. Just want to share.

As long as it is a standard 1.5 voltage you can pretty much use any type of AA battery in a device that requires them. There's only around 4 main types of AA and AAA consumer battery types.

But for disposable AA/AAA batteries there is only two main types. They are either alkaline or lithium. Lithium can withstand and work at higher or lower temperatures compared to alkaline. They are generally used for outdoor devices and more expensive. There's is also a lithium-ion variation which is rechargeable. Then there's NiCD and NiMH which are both also used for rechargeable batteries.

Considering alkaline batteries are the cheapest to produce, I don't see how the ACDelco can be anything else. But even if they are you can put them in any device that uses standard 1.5 AA batteries and it will work fine.

If someone really cared about waste they wouldn't be buying any disposable batteries period. Instead they would buy the rechargeable AA and AAA NiMH batteries and recharge and reuse them. The decent ones can generally give you at least 2 years of use before they won't hold a charge anymore.

According to Wikipedia, the brand holds over 80% of China's alkaline battery market share. I would be surprised if it's not as good as HF battery.
