It kinda depends on how you define tanked I guess. I played it on stadia, which was really fun and great and I only experienced one notably weird glitchy thing and no crashes. But it sounds like people on xbone/ps4 got boned really hard. And the blowback from that really hurt the overall reputation of the game, which seems fair. I will also say that I personally didn't feel like there's a *ton* of replay value, but that may just be me. I'm also not sure what fixes have happened since release date as well. The OP might have just been talking about the price tanking really hard, which is also true based on the price here.

Mostly because of the 8 million pre-orders and CDPR lying about performance and relying on their reputation as a company that cares about the customers that made people trust them and buy the game. That reputation is more or less gone now. If the game was truly amazing there would be no reason for a $60 game to drop so low in price so soon.

The proof will be in their next game. If gamers don't suffer from short-term memories they will remember this fiasco and not pre-order next time and wait for reviews first.
