Most importantly, do you have to keep an active costco membership and the credit card to keep the warranty active? We are thinking of signing up just for a year to buy a couple things, but probably do not want to extend past that. We have a Sam's Plus membership, and Sam's is MUCH closer to us, that's where we go for gas, and we like Sam's curbside pickup, too. We'd never go to the Costco for gas, it's too far.
Lastly, how is there installation service? Another Costco dishwasher I looked at was something like $140 cheaper elsewhere, and I know a guy who'll install it for $50, and the other seller will haul away the old one for $30 (and the old one is already uninstalled). So it's really only worth paying more for the Costco service if they are reliable and timely with installation, AND we could keep a good warranty from them without ongoing membership.
