These USB powered ones are NOT bright. Keep in mind the max amount of power that can be sent through USB, which, from what I understand less than 18w. This is more like 5w.

Wow, after comparing to the 10" one last week, this is night and day better. The tripod is much better design (traditional design). The ring is larger. The phone holder is in the right place in the center of the ring. Everything about this one beats the last one.

Got mine today and can confirm it is a heck of a good deal. Tripod is actually not too bad at all. Sturdy and seems well made. The light ring has 3 whiteness tone modes and highest setting is quite bright. The package even comes with a bluetooth remote camera shutter for Android and iPhones and works like a champ. My wife the selfie queen, who initially said...what junk have you bought now? snagged the remote and thinks I am a hero :-) I used the ring with a small light tent to take some watch photos and it is so much better than having 2 standing lamps either side. $15 bucks of happiness in our household.

Still here, just repped. Quality selfie ring and tripod. If you need higher Hz then buy the Phillips ring light. Selfie Ring lights in general are scam so I don't know what all the hate over LEDs are. If you aren't getting good light, use a better wall wart to provide power. Old Samsung S5 and older chargers wont really cut it anymore. you need at least the 2A from"quick charge adapters t get very very bright and consistent light. Not a problem for most people, but your average luddite would think it's a faulty product.

You do realize that a 10w led bulb can put out around 900-1100 lumens right? So 5w may put out 400-500 to be conservative.... That's plenty for a ring light genius.
