Up until today, I felt the same way! I opened an account last November (2020) and did not receive the Rebate. Followed all the instructions and (fortunately) took screenshots. Today, I received my rebate after some correspondence with SD Rebate Support.

Wish the process were smoother / better and the payout much faster, but SD did make it right. I think I've read others have the similar experiences where eventually they did get their rebate.

That being said, like with any Rebate and/or CB and/or trade-in (phones), documentation is a must and key. I made sure to screenshot every step including the referring / referral URL showing etc. The screenshots + the e-mail confirmations + referral URL's were almost concrete evidence that I fulfilled all requirements. I'm sure SD will make it much better going forward ... at least that is my hope, but don't give up! Whether the hassle / potential delays are worth it to you, that's a personal choice.

In any case, thought I might share my experience. Was as frustrated as most of you back earlier this year when I first escalated this, but today, I am happy I got my rebate Smilie

What do you think the odds were of you getting the rebate without screenshots to prove you did in fact do it correctly? Either their system is flawed and not tracking correctly or it isn't flawed and, well I won't say, but you get my meaning.

Lol ... I get what you mean especially given that I was in the same shoes as a bunch of people here. That being said, I also know that "tracking" of these things isn't always clear cut and often times there could be many reasons the right "cookie" or tracking mechanism / ID doesn't get passed. Ad blockers, other company CB toolbar widgets, etc.

Given the high rate of issues, it is possible that the method used by SD is flawed and/or did not think through all the various setups / scenarios. But on this point, the Staff has been more than willing to help. I.E. I was DM'ing with someone @ SD per their ask and trying to work through some of the missing CB.

All this said, the e-mails I sent across w/ time stamps and coinciding with the SD rebate submittal were enough for an initial investigation (took a few weeks to months) but then ultimately they couldn't find the record / referral. My screenshot showing the actual referral link showing on the Sofi website w/ unique information was probably the determining factor in escalating to management and management probably approving a one-off.

Summary: Probably not very likely since there could be a variety of reasons why SD didn't get notified, some of which could be attributed to a flawed system while others could be trying to double dip and/or something else.

Well I was going to try this. Started the application process and couldn't get the verification text. Closed window and account was already created and had no way that I could find of doing the verification text process again with a new number. Logged out and started process over with different email and phone number. Verification text worked, but got a message at the end saying my account couldn't be created and an "email has been sent with more information". Haven't received the email 15 minutes later. Came back here and read comments. Realized it was probably a waste of time to begin with.

Edit: Received email and it just says the following:

SOFI is not a scam, decent company for finances. However, if you're looking for an online saving account, there are better options with with twice the APR interest rate. Just Google it

yea, at current rates, your $125 will earn you 31 CENTS a YEAR
If all you have to deposit is $125 you have much bigger worries than APY.

The only way to get the bonus is by filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
the BBB is a private corporation that cannot compel a company to do anything. Try contacting your state attorney general's office if you want want to see something actually done

No don't do it they never paid for one of my accounts
SOFI is BOGUS! They collect your personal info to sell to loan brokers, mortgage companies, car warranties, etc. You will NEVER see the bonus!

Like many others, slickdeals did not honor the $75 offer. I emailed the provided email address and slickdeals finally responded about a month later advising they were unable to track my submission even though I provided everything they asked for.

Luckily enough I enjoy the sofi account. Makes it easy for a casual investor to have some funds in various markets. My advice- do not open this account for the $75 slickdeals rebate because it is a toss up if you'll actually receive it.

This is so ridiculous, and why I screen shot even the most mundane things like grubhub codes and orders. It's saved me so many times.

Tracking cookies are a simple thing and not controlled or limited by ad blockers etc. It's like a scam they are in cahoots with each other.

I feel like going for it, because I'll just pull my money out of sofi and close my account if this is the type of crap these companies pull

It's hitting a month since doing this deal, yet no PayPal bonus. Was hoping the ≤60 day fulfillment period was just so people don't complain too early, but from the history of complaints, I'm getting a little worried.

Did every step the same day, made sure ad blocker was off before even clicking links.
