HDMI 2.0 should be the norm these day. 4k screen are pretty common setup for WFH and this laptop is fast enough for it. Just a shame it can only do 4k 30hz. it seem the ryzen version does come with HDMI 2.0 tho.

BEST ANSWER:RAM 12 GB soldered on the motherboard. Can't be changed/upgraded.

So just found out (Got a New Flex 14") USB C doesn't support Dual Display or USB-C Docking Station. It does support Data Only.

Mine Flex is going back.

What do you all think of the Staples version with intel 11th Gen i5 vs the AMD Ryzen 4500u?

Amazon has the AMD version for $629 with the digital stylus. Amazon AMD has more memory (16GB vs 12 GB), but less storage (256GB vs512 GB).

I tried to purchase the laptop last week and staples cancelled my order without any notification. I called them up to ask for an explanation but they said it was cancelled during processing which doesn't explain anything.

Won't trust them with any online orders anymore if you urgently need the item.

Why does the Intel 11th gen variant have soldered ram when the AMD Renoir one in the same chassis uses standard sodimm slots? Makes zero sense, Lenovo.

I'd recommend caution with Lenovo. They have several models where they glued the screen hinges, and the glue can separate and the hinges cause the screen to break. There's a class action on the yoga models, and I'm experiencing the same issues with a flex 5 Chromebook. Don't know if this flex 5 shares the same horrible design decision, but I'd recommend reading up on the reviews before purchasing.

Just got this in. Performance is quite disappointing. I was expecting a little more from a modern day i5. This thing can barely record the webcam in OBS even while using QuickSync. The Xe graphics get maxed out way too soon. Oddly enough, My Dell 11th-gen i7 with the same Xe graphics doesn't have this problem
