This set is regularly around this price. In fact, I paid less than $17 last year. Average price is slightly over $20, so this is an okay deal.

Everytime Corelle dinnerware is posted on Slickdeals you have the people that come in here complaining that it's no longer made in the USA or that they are no longer bullet proof like the Corelle that was made in the 1970s.

Corelle = cheap plates that are tougher to chip/break than regular ceramic dinnerware

Plus who the heck is cashing in the manufacturer's warranty on a set of SIX plates they purchased for $17 thats a little bit more than $3 a plate lol

If you do some research the Correlle sold in US is no longer the same manufacturing technique they used to do which allows it to stand up to breakage. Canada correlle still uses the more expensive manufacturing process
