The other mower you mentioned is 24V x 5Ah x 2 = 240 Wh.
Practically, I have found higher AH rated batteries giving better performance even in the same tool.
Considering all this, I would always go for the higher Voltage tool and higher Ah rated batteries. I am not an expert at all, and welcome other people to chime in with their experiences and thoughts.

This is why your cell phone, tablet and laptop is half charged when you open it out of the box.....
And yes, the rebate process was smooth considering. I mean, it's still a rebate, but I got the check within a month of submitting (had to do it over the phone because you needed a "pre-approval" and between my approval and submission they'd changed the numbering scheme and the online system wouldn't take mine. But the city employee over the program was fantastic and yeah, I got the check without too much hassle, so that was all I really cared about.
Side note: I did also get a 10% Lowes coupon which also helped - basically paid sales tax.
I've only used one Ego mower prior to this (mowed a neighbor's much smaller and flatter yard) and it honestly wasn't bad at all. I was just still a little nervous about the occasional complaints (online reviews) about lack of power so when I saw the XP was more powerful, I kinda got sucked into the idea of it (not to mention apparently they're quite difficult to find in stock anywhere now. I think Acme is the only place that still has a few at the moment.) But basically, you're paying for the massive battery and getting a mower for not much more, and in this it has delivered.
But like I said: so far so good. And the new [even-rapider than rapid] charger is now the only one I use (I have 2 others of the "slow" ones) because it's just so much faster, especially with the 2/2.5 Ah batteries - plus the charge level display is quite nice.
