I bought the 35in Zero-G back in October 2020. Last month in April the screen started "whiting out" periodically - maybe from overheating, idk. Point is, I raised the issue with Monoprice and they acknowledged this was a new issue and sent me a pre-paid shipping label to return it. I sent it back and got a new one about a week and half later. So far so good.

Personally, I had a good experience with their return process. I also recommend keeping the original box for a bit, returning this thing in a lawnmower box wrapped in bubble wrap was not ideal

Edit: also available at Target for $299.99 + 5% off with RedCard, effectively reducing the price to $284.99 before tax.

if it's just for office-type use, then the biggest factors that i can think of is the curvature and height adjustment. the 1800R on the zero-G is less curved than dark matter (bigger number = less curved). zero-g does not appear to have height adjustability, whereas the dark matter does.

deeper curve is better for gaming where you sit fairly close to your monitor. it'll give you better immersion as the curvature better matches your natural peripheral view. i'd imagine that for office use, you wouldn't want as aggressive of a curve.

Pretty much the pros for the Dark Matter are the HDR, higher refresh rate and most importantly the stand (height adjustable).

The Zero G is cost. I have the Zero G and not a single regret. It's been rock solid and has a great picture. I put mine on a nice full articulating arm mount to fit in my desk. I prefer that to the stand, but it did cost a little extra to find a proper one for the desk and monitor.

For productivity, either will do great. You won't need the HDR or refresh rates of the Dark Matter. However, you might not like the stand on the Zero G.

In for the Dark Matter.

Got the 35" Zero-G on Black Friday for $300 and I've had no issues with it other than 1 dead pixel. The 35" is currently on sale at Target.com for the same price ($299.99) if you'd rather buy it from there

I have the 34" dark matter. It's a decent monitor, colors are ok, HDR is not very useful, but for the price, it's hard to beat this monitor. I primarily use for multitasking office work and it's been excellent in that regard. I only briefly used for gaming so can't speak to that but there are reviews that go more in depth

I just purchased the 27 inch zero g from target for $199. I haven't even taken it out of the box but seriously considering purchasing the 32 and returning the 27 for an extra ~$50. Any technical reason why I shouldn't do this ?
Resolution for 27" is better than 32"

It looks like all of these are limited to 300 nits, which is fine in a basement, but not in a room with windows. You want displayhdr 400 at least for an office monitor.

I pulled the trigger on the 34" dark matter. Will be the first new monitor I've used in 10 years. Even if its not perfect, I'm assuming it's going to be amazing compared to the 60hz dell trash I'm using now.

All I need now is for the legion 5 pro to be released in NA and I'm set for the next 8-10 years.

Will they accept returns for dead pixels? Do they cover return shipping?

Doesn't Monoprice have a weird return policy surrounding dead pixels or is that someone else?

Ridiculous prices on the $212 and $331 monitors. Grabbed the 32 inch nonultrawide, and tempted to grab a second one.

Did you price match with this after the code?

I didn't need to pricematch. It was already $299 during checkout
