What a weird comment to make! It's a Full HD 3:2 laptop with an Intel i5, 8GB RAM, SSD, USB C, and a premium build quality. You will absolutely not find this kind of value anywhere else.

I am the OP on this thread, and my order was cancelled stating that they sold out........I'm calling BS. I was however, successful in getting BestBuy to PM, so there's that.

OK, I think I have an explanation for the pricing of this Surface Laptop from TigerDirect. The second confirmation we all received today gave a strange description of "SRFC LPTOP GO I5/8/128COMMPLATDEMOEDU". So I did a search of the listed model number 148-00001 which revealed that this is the pricing for the "Academic, Demo" version (which I would assume isn't normally available to the general public). So the price offered by TigerDirect isn't too far off that which I was able to find with a general search:

Glad you got BB to PM at least, OP! Wish I had gone that route but by the time I saw the tip it was already sold out. Oh well, them's the breaks.

I am glad I did too. Figuring TD has a pretty bad reputation about actual inventory. I did just call them and they told me they had 64 of the laptops at that price and the stock tracker shows -3,000 currently. I told her I had to be one of the first to order, and she told me I was obviously mistaken..........Such a scam site anymore with Tigerdirect. How hard is it for the site to update based on the inventory available.......Such a shame.
