What a weird comment to make! It's a Full HD 3:2 laptop with an Intel i5, 8GB RAM, SSD, USB C, and a premium build quality. You will absolutely not find this kind of value anywhere else.

They should be reported to the Attorney Generals in your respective states but in addition as they are registered in California and supposedly have their offices are in Florida. I am sure the Governor of Florida as a former JAG officer would be very interested in their tactics. In addition a class action suit could be in order due to their deceptive sales tactics which consistently include advertising products at prices , accepting orders which they have no intention of fulfilling. It also appears they are using all this information to sell to third parties for their profit.

I am willing to bet Best Buy will refuse to Pricematch Tigerdirect going forward. This was a big burn.

I remember back in the day it was Tiger Direct that was the go to retailer. Not newegg. I remember purchasing my first brand new Laptop from them nearly 15 years ago. They were great.

When they pull stunts like this, it does nothing but creates bad PR for them.

As I explained previously in post #179, the model number indicates that this is the pricing for the "Academic, demo" model. This was part of the description listed in the 2nd order confirmation which everyone received -- SRFC LPTOP GO 5/8/128COMMPLATDEMOEDU -- which made me suspicious of the original TD listing. So this item should never have been listed for sale to the general public. Shame on them. I have effectively closed my account with them by changing my email address with them to [email protected]. If everyone else does this, maybe they will get the hint that what they have done is unacceptable.
