"Good" 2.1 stereo is fine for me. Unfortunately, this lacks severely in the ".1", lol.

Been using for a week.

Very poor bass. Pretty ordinary sound. Sounds like a tv. My 14 year old, $30, Creative 2.1 computer set sounds much better. Much more bass with it's 5" sub.

This does have the streamer though, and if you also need a sound bar... guess it's ok.

Bought for $63 last week with the Prime 10% off special.

Yeah that built in 3 inch sub is a joke. No center channel seals the deal. This is landfill fodder. Better than built in TV speakers... Maybe. If you must buy a sound bar 3.1 wit seperate sub. I have a vizio sb36 "e" in my gfs bedroom. Paid $75 on marketplace. Its much better than i thought it would be.

Totally agree with your recommendation.
I have the refurbished Vizio, that was posted here from Walmart, for 69 bucks. Soundbar under the TV, and wireless sub under the bed. My only gripe I have is I haven't played with it enough, since I barely watch TV in the bedroom. Seems like I either have it a little to soft, or I'm shaking the house. I know it is just me, not tweaking it enough, but for what I paid I didn't expect it to sound 25% as good as it does.

I have Roku, new Chrome casts and Android boxes, so another streamer wasn't needed in my case. I don't know enough about these to have an opinion on this model, but the Vizio, and the Roku Streambar I bought my parents that needed a streamer too were well worth what I paid. My living room TV has a full surround setup for big sound, since it is a large room, but for a bedroom or everyday TV a streambar seems like a good option now.

Same experience here. Bought it only for the HDMI option since the optical port connector on our tv broke and needs to be jimmied. Its an ok combo with fire tv builtin but should be sold as 2.0

Amazon uses woot to clear out inventory unfit for even their Warehouse Deals.

Got two of these during the last deal. They are worth the money. I understand all these folks who want better quality sound but you won't find it at this price. I wantes Fire TV since it's easier than the native interface of some cheap TVs with poor quality sound. Considering this costs double what a fire stick, I'd say the sound quality is sufficient for the price category.

I got one with the last deal. Stuck in Espanol on boot up and would not recognize the remote for setup. I googled how to do the factory reset and everything has been fixed. The Fire streaming is good and the sound is much better than the speakers in the 10 year old LG tv I have it hooked up to. I'm satisfied and feel it was a good deal for my application.

What's considered the best sub $100 solution to receiving good dialog sound from a TV (new/open box/used) ATM? I don't care if its a soundbar or a PC speaker setup. I have an old VIZIO soundbar and it's too boomy to listen to movies/TV at a relaxing sound level.

Thanks for your feedback.
