I wouldn't use these as wheel chocks. Not high enough to provide the security from wheel chocks.

Yep, I changed oil on my vehicles with this, enough area to remove the oil plug to drain and more.

There is 10"-12" of clearance from the tire to the area where the tire stops.

Well, these are by no means the best alternative to floor jack stands but the convenience is there. You can't replace tires with these versus what you could with jacks. These are used for oil changes or minor work. If you buy a better quality ramps (non plastic) those will definitely benefit you in the long run compared to plastic going brittle or loosing integrity over time.

Attach a strap on each ramp long enough for you rear tires to drive over. No more sliding ramps.
On a very hot day my 16,000 lb. ones squished down with my GMC pickup on them, they replaced them for me for free.
Don't forget to pick up wheel chocks too, if you don't have them already. Should chock the rear after you get the car up on the ramps.

Been thinking about getting these, since my Harbor Freight steel ones keep on sliding on my garage floor a bit too much.

Good tip. I put some studs of appropriate length between the ramp and garage wall to prevent sliding, but the straps could be used anywhere and I'm pretty sure I have some old ones around that shouldn't be used for securing loads anymore. Thanks.

You can also use rope, but it tends to stretch.

Have had these for 5 years with no issues. Only used for your typical under 4000lbs car/suv though.

Nice, almost bought these a couple weeks ago for $40 at Walmart, glad I held off. But really only did because I wanted to see if the ones for $48 were any better at Harbor Freight (better build, more weight capacity)

There are far too many Amazon reviews about these failing for me to consider buying them. No way am I playing games with something that needs to support the car over me.

Same here... work great for a quick oil change.

Hmm.... anyone use two sets at the same time? Suppose I could inspect the entire undercarriage while down there. ConfusedConfused
