I have a busier neighborhood so it triggers the 2 street cameras a lot and I don't get a full year out of those without recharging.
There are better cams, but I just wanted an easy camera system and a good app. And I wanted it simple.
I do regret not going solar for them... I've just gotten into a bit more solar for things like motion detection spotlights, and love them. But I know very little about it lol.

Keep an eye out for sales. The full price is steep, but it was worth it to me when I got it discounted. I probably wouldn't have bought it at the price Amazon lists. But when best buy had a sale, I jumped on immediately lol.
Also, they make 180day battery life versions that are less $ but the 365 day battery versions on sale weren't much more than the 180 day version at the time.

tell a little more about your setup with Ispy? Any issue setting up with your PC at home or laptop?.. Does it go straight video to a Hard drive or do you use a cloud?
1. Floor plans from their robots...
2. Videos of their backyard from cameras...
3. power usage data from their smart power switches....
I can understand people being ignorant due to their lack of knowledge... but their failure to apply common sense is ridiculous!
I don't care about recording, etc; more interested in live viewing throughout the day.
T y for any input.

A good firewall and some attention to detail can also help protect you; you can configure to get alerts for unusual activity across your network or even just across your security-cam network (depends on where you locate the firewall), and will let you set rules blocking traffic if you do see anything questionable.
Any particular software that is better or worse? Is it possible to get completely away from the proprietary software included with various manufactures and use just one for all? I presume each camera type would have to have the common output capability/type to function together.
Thanks again...
Something like that I would reccomend. Just update it all
