The Stubby version is $5.86 which seems more versatile for a typical homeowner. Any recommendations between the two?

Typical homeowners don't need an 8" screwdriver. The comments say the metal is cheap and wears out. The most durable screwdrivers I've used are the craftsman diamond tips from sears.
